In my journey to understand the Pauline “difficulty”, an “epiphany” for me was the “arc” of entry into the “Commonwealth of Israel” was the entry by possessing the “faith of Abraham” before his full “conversion” through circumcision. I believe that Paul wanted to remind everyone that Abraham was “Everyman” who could come into The Faith by choosing to obey the “Call”. In effect Abraham was a “righteous gentile” before his circumcision.

Have you expanded on this since this paper.
